in one of my plants a hole has appeared on the main vine. the plant is still young and only about 2 feet long now. it looks like a bug may have caused this but i sure it could have been anything including my cat biting a chunk out of the plant. it is small about 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch it is dry and nothing is coming out of it. should i bury the vine with soil or leave it out? any advice would be appreciated. thanks

This will sound crazy but, i would mist it with water and pour gorilla glue around and over it.The glue will foam seal and strengthen that spot in the vine.It has worked well for me in the past
