Danggg! I'm getting too old for this stuff!
93 in the shade today - 94 yesterday. Just about killed me at Stratford Day yesterday but lemonade sales were good despite a sluggish economic condition.

93 for a high today and 91 for tomorrow, it's been this way since Thursday this past week and will run thru Tuesday when we get hopefully some much needed rain, and drop the temps back down into the 80 degree range. It's been a challenge keeping everything watered, as I just planted my garden memorial week and it barely had enough time to adjust and got hit with heat. Pumpkins are loving this though. The high winds we had today I can do without.

Seems like it's "Hell or High Water"! The East get all the heat....we get all the cool temps and rain! We cannot get above mid 60's no matter what we do! More rain forecast for tomorrow and Thursday...plants have slowed noticeably.

94 yesterday, 96 today. THank God we got a thunderstorm yesterday to help things somewhat, it was the first rain in over a month here. I have been tilling up some new patch and the ground is powdery and hardpan from no rain.

Supposed to be 99 today. Plants are not happy. I keep trying to cool them with cold water.

If you zoom in on that temperature chart it looks like it was manually tweaked in photoshop. I think Bart is trying to sandbag us here. He probably has air conditioners in his patch and is doing much better than us realists.

no photoshop....it is what it is....got my first fried leaves today. you missed yesterday when the temperature dropped 30 degrees in less than an hour as the t-storm went by. btw, the graph is compressed for web presentation. The temperature is sampled every 5 seconds and records high , low and mean for every 5 minutes. I keep one computer running just to do the weather stuff and the data goes back more than 10 years

Bart is going to beat me senseless next time he runs into me for that comment. Nice job on the website Bart. We missed that storm. It has been brutal here and will be worse today. I have been lucky enough to be home this week so I can water. The plants start drooping an hour after I water. I have been trying to cool them down so they do not get too stressed.

Rob (and others), I resolved the issue with the odd drop in temperature on my weather site. Its easy. If you look at today's you will see that the temp drops quickly just before 4pm and begins to recover about an hour later. Just before 4 I turned on the sprinklers to water the 'new' lawn which causes a small change in the micro climate near the sensor. It recovers later when I turn it off (and get another beer).
