wing caught my plant the other day and twisted it all over my garden i now have a stem split is that plant finished

I had one split across the main but it is still growing. Sure it is a bit behind but if you don't have a plant to replace it with then I would pin it down with cut up coat hangers and see if you can get it growing again and see in a few weeks before you pull it out.

it's still growing and ahead of my other plants it grew 6 inches last night so just pin it down and keep on growing?

that happened me last year and I got a 66olb pumpkin out of it. Good luck with what ever happens Micheal

I would say just pin it down and don't mess with it for a while. As soon as you can try and get the vine buried after the brake. Probably best not to trech it because you would have to move the vine. I would just cover it lightly to get as many new roots growing as possible. Should still do well. Probably to late to start a new one any ways and this early in the season the plants don't take a whole lot of work. Hope it still grows a big one.
