How many true leaves does it take to start seeing the tip of the main vine appear?

just curious

last year, my plant had 10+ from what i recall but by looking at some diaries here, it seems many people get mains starting at 5-6 leaves.

The growing tip is the main vine. All the leaves that you are seeing of coming off of the main vine.

the tip will sretch out into a vine when the cluster of leaves shades it enough.usually 6 to ten leaves.If you dont see a vine giving you the bird- dont worry.your plant is developing its frame work in the form of roots and solar panels(leaves).When its ready and the weather warms up the vine will develop fast
