we have had a lot of rain recently, and overnight with this new front coming in, there were 25-35mph gusts and those are predicted all day and are moving east from here in illinois after we deal with them. had a couple silt fence posts almost leaning on the plants this a.m. when i went to adjust bamboo sticks. had to hammer them back securely. they loosened up in the saturated soil and the high winds. i also added some more compost on top of vines to help these young mains from rolling over since they are not rooted down securely yet. a couple bamboo stick on the outside of large leaves on the opposite side of the plant from the direction of the wind also can help agains the plants from rolling over in the wind.

I use snow fence, but the same applies.
We had 40mph winds here steady for about 5 hours last night. 2.25" of rain. I had heavy steel fence posts that were driven about 12" deep literally uprooted by the wind.

we had 4 days of 30 to 45 mile hr. sustained winds, with gusts over 75 last night. It was very nice indeed. The kids trampoline did not weather the storm very good. It was gusting to 25mph today and it seemed like it was calm...LOL Plants are doing fine didnt lose much just my mind!
