Lets have some fun. Current record for pumpkin in Finland is 264 pounds from last year. 2007 was first year we had great seeds here with few growers. This year great seeds are spread out of lot of growers, many are newbies but also growers with more experience has good or great seeds.

Here is the case, guess what will be this years biggest pumpkin in Finland and win EGVGA membership for 2009. Membership will include couple nesletters and seed packet(approx. 30 seeds from biggest and prettiest pumpkins and squashes grown in Europe in 2008). Also some other giant veggie seeds like marrows, tomatoes etc.

At this point I dont know if we are going to have official weigh-off in Finland so all pumpkins, unofficial and splitted are in this game. I am going to announce weight of biggest pumpkin here on early October.

Hint, there are couple of pumpkins in greenhouse this year(not mine) and first of them is ready to pollinate next week...
