Subject: Flag Pattern Verification?

Does a flag pattern look like a long triangle when fully grown or do you only leave the seondarys on before the fruit?
if it looks like a triangle, the secondary vines get shorter as they travel up the main vine, right?

Jeremy, When the plant is growing, it looks like a triangle, as the secondaries further from the crown are progressively shorter. As you terminate the the early secondaries, and let the later ones grow out, it looks like a rectangle or square.

I always thought the flag pattern, didnt have any vines on one side. that way it looked like a flag on a pole. right or wrong?

That's what I've alway thought Reeb. I think Jeremy was wondering if it was a triangle flag.

Some growers call it the modified Christmas tree pattern. Let all vines on one side grow out but on the other side only leave about a foot of vine. Creates half a christmas tree.
