Is it normal for leaves to start yellowing and gettting a few dead spots etc. when you put them out to harden?

Could be sunburn. Could be that they want to be planted out in the dirt so they can get more nutrients. Just my past exeriences though.

You will somtimes loose a leaf. As long as the new growth looks good, don't sweat it!
