I haven't posted on this site often but I have to this time because of the unique situation I'm in. I have a plant that is doing wonderful BUT it has 3 cots. The other plants in my garden aren't doing so well and this is the only back-up that looks good. Is this something that I should be concerned with or not? Thanks for any help! :)

If the plant is growing normally otherwise, it is probably just fine.

It is probably just fine. But I had three seed leaves on one of my seedlings, and that plant developed a ribbon vine. Since it was sitting next to a healthy plant, I culled it. It was probably just coincidence, but who knows?

My plants are around day 30-40 and have no cots left. Mostly because as the vine tries to lay down I provide more dirt as support where it is needed. I prefer not to bury any cots since it could be a problem if they rot... I just cut them off, and have never had any issues. They are only needed until the true leaves form and start producing food/energy.

three seed leaves to me would indicate a possible future problem . i would stay away from using that plant if at all possible.

Thanks guys for the responses. Right now I don't have to use it but if anything fails in the next couple of days I might be forced to use it. :(
