As our plants get bigger and we try to get our main vines pointed in the right direction and laying down on the ground, we all need to remember: NEVER ATTEMPT TO TRAIN A VINE BEFORE NOON...BECAUSE THE LIKELIHOOD THAT IT WILL BREAK IS MUCH GREATER THAN LATER IN THE DAY. When the plant has warmed up and is not as "crisp" it is much safer to attempt to move a vine. I cracked a side vine this morning, which was my wake up call. I'm just glad it wasn't a main vine.

Russ, that sounds like something I would do!,LOL Even though you and I know, never to do this, You know we will still end up snapping more mains and secondaries then we can shake a stick at,,,LOL!!!!!!
Why do we end up doing this even though we know the chances are good the vine is going to snap??,ha!
I think we like that little rush we get playing on the edge of danger, knowing that we might just end up snapping a 1068 or a 998's main vine,,hahaha! And then when we successfully move a vine at 6am in the morning, boy do we feel great, Ha!

Its the feeling one might get when jumping out of a airplane for the first time, scared as hell untill there feet hit the ground, But liked that rush so much that they have to go up and do it again!!! ,LOL!!

More important than the time is the temperature outside. If it is 80 degrees by 11, go ahead, but if it is cool all day (below 70-75) I wouldn't try it at all. One mistake now can ruin the entire season, so better to have a little patience.

I had 2 plants throw a main in the opposite direction, but after 7 days of small adjustments they are pointing in the right direction.

Good luck to all.
