Had the main vine split on one of my plants. Could it be from too much heat or is the soil too rich. It's too late to do anything to fix it now. I will just let it grow and try again next year. Send help. haha

If the split is length ways, it should be fine. Just treat it with some fungicide and keep it dry. It should heal up. If its still giveing you stress, just train a strong secondary as a new main.

I grew my biggest official weighed pumpkin on a double vine that split lenghtwise, then split half way through crosswise. I didn't so anything to it, just let it go. Our biggest one that didn't make it to the scales also had a lenghtwise vine split. If I was you I wouldn't worry too much.
