The lengthy post below is a testament to the worldwide impact that Howard has had on our community, without Howard we wouldn’t even be a community. That post prompted me to reread an article in last month’s SNGPG newsletter. It’s both an historical account of Dills Atlantic Giant seeds and a beautiful tribute to Howard’s life and accomplishments. If you subscribe to the newsletter I recommend you reread it.

David, where are you from? You can probably get a started plant from a grower in your area as well as some instructions. If you want to know more about Howard Dill google him. He lived in Nova Scotia and originated the Atlantic Giant species we all grow. Also, Seed swap and new growers forums are much help. The SNGPG is the Southern New Englang Giant Pumpkin Growers association out of Rhode Island. Very successful club. PAP is founding member, Dick Wallace who is very generous with information, time, seeds, beer and his homegrown humor based on his years of experience.

This is the wrong place to ask your questions, you have come right in to an obituary thread and probably upset a few people. Take a look at the forums most of the answers are there, people on here are willing to help if you are polite. Perhaps if you post your questions on The New Growers Forums you will get a better result?
