I would like to thank past and present directors, volunteers, and all members for making my tenure as a director of the NEGPGA for the past 7 years a very memorable part of my life. I would especially like to thank my wife Mary Ann for all she has done to ensure everything from the newsletters, picnics, and weigh offs happened. Regretfully, due to business and family obligations I am stepping down from my position as a director of the NEGPGA. I am also resigning my positions as site coordinator for the GPC, and chairman of the Topsfield Fair weigh off, effective May 19, 2008. Thank you all. Still Growing, George Hoomis

George you & Mary Ann will be sorely missed. Your dedication to the oldest New England Ag Fair/Weigh-off has been exemplary to say the least. Though we were just getting started, it has been an honor to work with you.
Those are some big shoes that need filling.

George & Maryann, You have been such good friends who I always look forward to seeing over the years. Your solid leadership has been exemplary and New England will be losing 2 class people to lead them. I know you have worked hard for this and wish you well and hope bigger and better pumpkins are in your future.
Thank you for being a friend and for all you have done for the growers in New England and the GPC.

I do not think all involved know how hard George and Maryann have worked over the years for all of us members. You are great people and your efforts are very much appreciated. Best of luck. Rob

George and Mary Ann I first met you in 1999 at the one of closest weighoffs I have ever been a part of. The pumpkins were not to big that year but I remember meeting a lot of nice people that day. And you both were so supportive of all of us. I wish you the best and hope to still see you at Topsfield your efforts at the fair are going to be hard to match. I hope people appreciate what you have done for this hobbie I know I do for sure. Thanks again for everything you have done. Matt
