We just got a short hail storm. It's been very windy, sunny, raining, then hail. What's next. High of 49F today. Where did Summer go or better yet, where is it?

Those hoop houses are sure getting a test of weather this season. Glad that we have them. This morning one was opened up a bit. I had plants covered inside and had flannel sheetso over top to keep extra warm. They all survived just fine. Now if those hoops will stay closed all day today, I'll be a happy camper. Still looking for warmer temps.

Even temps here in Virginia are running 10 to 15 degrees lower than normal for this time of year. Patch is wet and cool. Not much growth happening here

High in the low 50's today. I don't know if I'm imagining it, but my plants seem quite a bit slower growing than in the years past. I guess I should be happy they're still alive and growing minutely. Hopefully they are spreading their roots.
