After taking a year off in the patch and state hopping, I got my hands dirty yesterday and put 10 plants into Ohio soil. We'll see how good this NW Ohio soil is. Can't wait to take a fruit to a Ohio scale! Jim Ford PS I have a couple of beautiful 1248's if anyone is in need of a back up. [email protected]

I'm glad to see that you're finally settled in and growing Jim. I hope that 1248 grows another giant.

Jim, I thought you were in Illinois? Now Ohio? I usually just ammend my soil with manure to improve it...but moving from state to state? Hey...maybe you've got something there...how much is land in Rhode Island? If you need any granite ammendments for your garden, let me know.
