Subject: Bloodmeal test on plant !

I planted 4 of same seeds & 18 inchs apart & everything the same Except that i put Bloodmeal under 1 plant,Results are that all plants are same size (there 15 days old or so), But the one with the Bloodmeal is much darker green ,, Thats what id expect !! Right??? Ok , But guess what? that plant wilts when it gets very hot & others do not ,, I was supprized !! just thought id post results !!!

Yup, a higher N content in the soil will makem wilt easier.....My 500 Wallace last year did the same thing, 20 X 20 Plant I had to keep water on it to spring it back to life....I knew it was the manure as even the volunteer weeds in the patch wilted along with the pumpkin.......

Wiz, what about in the long run? Did the higher N plant do better?

Just an update on these plants, The blood meal plant is now ahead of others & looking healthy, But also it is not the most wilted on a hot day anymore !
