burried my seeds in pots today.
how long should it take for them to sprout through the dirt and how long should i leave them in the pots before i place them in patch?

temps here still cooler. normally farmers around here dont plant nothing til memorial day weekend.

how long is the average time for a plant from when the seed is buried until the pumpkin stops growing?
120-150 days?

From my experience it takes as little as 3 and as much as 10 days for the seed to "pop" up. I would say average is 4 to 5 days.
I think leaving a plant in the pot for 10 days is about max. If something happens like bad weather that delays your planting in the patch repot it in a bigger pot.
Rule of thumb is 150 days from germination to maturity but your weather and growing season will have an effect on that also.

Jeremy, rule of thumb is 60 days give or take. The target time to pollinate is a few days on either side of July 1st.
