Mine are'nt doing so good, one of the 3 sprouted and is growing slow, I'm hoping it bounces out of it. The other two have'nt grown after 13 days. I started a 4th seed and accidently filed to the green inside of the shell, trying to get it two grow after 2 days. 2nd year curse?

This is my first year. I started with 9 seeds. 5 are in the ground now. 4 did not make it to planting. Cooked one, cat ate one, daughter over watered one, peaked and broke one. I am going o start a few more. I think I have the gemination part dialed in now.

All have sprouted, looking at third leaf this week on all 6. Finished final tilling today and added kelp to the patch. Tomorrow is hoop houses and planting day. All six look great, with one being a bit slow, but, aside from that healthy! Came up in 3 days.

basketcase, you have a 1041.5, too?! Wow, that makes at least 5 in the PGVG this year. It got my best site and is doing fine for this time of year, even though the patch never got tilled quite to my satisfaction (kind of clumpy, but clumpy dirt might not be as bad as most people think it is (or maybe that's just what I'd like to think at this point!!)) Keep me posted--Matthew

My 1290 Poirier seed popped in 48 hours I checked on my 1385 Jutras on Saturday nigth and there was no sign of life. Decided I would start a backup on Sunday. Opened the germination chamber on Sunday morning and found that not only had the 1385 emerged but the seedling was about two and half inches long. Amazing plant. Never had one grow this fast before....LB
