I am wanting to start a new AG Growers Association in NE Oklahoma.
Are there any suggestions I need to know before I get started with this?

are there people in your area that grow ? if so get them involved at the onset so you have help. need members first form an organizational committee ( get some free advertizing from local newspapers? ) elect a couple officers find a suitable place to weigh off a date to weigh off a sponsor or two for awards and weigh-off equipment costs get new growers interested

Yes there are a few growers in your area, three or four of us in South West Missouri, some in Arkansas, Kansas, and other southern states. Did you know about the weighoff in Republic Missouri?

Amigatec is a very dedicated grower that I know from another website, I'll support him 100% and join!

I'm here in the OK panhandle end and we have the P&T Grower's Club just starting...
Yeah you need to get interest and it's gonna be work to get things off the ground. I sorta worked backwards from a tomato weigh in plan I had for the county fair...
Drop me email, we can sort notes... :)

Amigatec,
I just checked the AGGC & there isn't a single OK grower registered there.
The Indiana website lists state records:
http://www.ipga.us/TTAPumpkins.htm
No Okies there either.
You & OkieGal have your work cut out for yourselves but keep at it. Tis a fine & noble cause.

We park the annual GPC results right here at BigPumpkins.

No Oklahoma growers listed here either. We need to get you OKies on the GPC map. Let's get growing! LOL
