Has anyone ever used this product before? I found this at my local fartmers market, it has 21.4% of Imidacloprid(merit) (Contains 2 pounds of Imidacloprid per gallon.)

I was wondering if anyone could give me a application rate per 2 gallon on the Dominion, I never seem to get the mixture right for my pesticides or fungicides when I want to use them in my Ortho Dial sprayer.
If it says to add 0.6 fl oz to 1.25 gallon of water per 1000 SQ FEET, then what setting would you set a
Ortho Dial & Sprayer on to get the right amount and not over apply?

Thanks,
Brooks

Brooks,

Did you get my email? Dominion is the same formulation as my Mallet which is the same as Admire & Merit 2F. The price is so close I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it especially if the smaller bottle makes sense.

Thanks Tremor, I never got your email , Ill look again though. Thanks for the info on the Dominion, I think I got a good price on it, I payed 53.99 for a 28 oz bottle. This should last me a few years.

Thanks,
Brooks

Steve, One more thing,

Since it calls for .06 oz per 1000 sq ft and I want to use my ortho dial and sprayer, would I go ahead and put 0.6 oz of the dominion in my Ortho reservoir and then set my dial to 1/2 oz ( because i dont have a 0.6 on my Dial) and then spray the 1000sq ft evenly until the .06 oz of the Dominion is gone out of the reservoir? Would that insure I get equal coverage of my 1000 sq ft with out using to much? I know your not a ortho Dial and sprayer user, and I ask you this kind of question every year, lol.

OK how about this,LOL,, if I use a 2 gallon sprayer. Put 1.2 oz of the Dominion in 2 gallons of water and spray the 1000 sq ft evenly until the 2 gallon sprayer runs out. What I'm saying is my 2 gallon sprayer should just about be empty when I'm almost finishing covering the 1000sq ft.
Then after the 2 gallon sprayer is empty I will then water it in real good) Is this right or no?

I hope I'm explaining this to you good enough for a licensed pesticide applicator to understand coming from a dummy like me that dont really have a clue when it comes to Math. Which it just goes to show you kids out there, pay attention in school and dont worry about beer and the girls untill after you graduate,,,LOL!

YIKES! We have extra zeros here Brooks. LOL

I'm thinking that you don't get a lot of my emails?

Regardless how you apply it (Ortho-Dial or pump sprayer), just be sure that .6 oz (SIX TENTHS) lands on each 1000 sq ft parcel.

It's OK (desirable) to hit the seedlings too. Do them last so that you're already comfortable with the rate of delivery. The seedlings get the same volume as the rest of the patch.
