Hello all. Through a little sweat and hard work we were able to move our Stillwater weigh-off to September 27th this year. We see this as a GIANT benefit to our event. It gives most growers in the area an opportunity to now attend 3 GPC events if they wish. It also gives us a much better shot at nicer weather anr more healthy pumpkins.

Our goal this year is to weigh 20 pumpkins (I think we can do 25++). Last year I believe we had only 13 fruit hit the scale! We hope with the earlier date we can draw some growers with early fruit as well as more growers from surrounding states / etc. that until now didn't have a late September weigh-off on the schedule.

We are working on promoting and ideas to make the event bigger and better. The event itself is in downtown Stillwater, MN. I'd argue this as one of the most scenic weigh-offs in the country as it is on the St. Croix river waterfront. Leaves will be in full color and the fish will be biting. We are scraping together ideas to grow the event such as better promotion and complimentry hotel rooms to our "long distance" growers. Of course the prize structure will be very competitive as well.

Please mark your calandars. We look forward to seeing you all the 27th.

Well done! Sounds like a winner! If I come can I bring my St. Croix rod & hook a few?

I'll be right beside you Steve. The St. Croix has some awesome fishing(we can talk conservatism).
