I bet you didn't know what this is.
Help Ban Dihydrogen monoxide it is a major componant of acid Rain
This is from dad, he thought you would like this.
In a recent study by US scientists Nathan Zohaner found that 86 percent of population suports a ban on this. And why aren't we contacting our legislators?

You mean H2O? Good catch Rob.

Is dihydrogen monoxide accurate? Seeing as oxygen goes around always as O2 perhaps it sould be Quadhydrogen Dioxide?

It should be H402 as Oxygen always travels in pairs. Water is held together by hydrogen bonds which are lite attractions that fluctuate by temperature, as opposed to ionic and covalent.
Al Gore just thinks that water will turn much hotter in the coming years weakening the bond expanding the molecules, especially in the far north and south.

Each oxygen in a water molecule is attracted to a hydrogen in another water water molecule. But that doesn't mean that the formula is larger then H2O. If so, it would be a lot larger.
Check out this link, http://www.mrs.umn.edu/~goochv/CellBio/lectures/water/water.html
Oxygen does indeed go around in pairs as molecule oxygen, but breaks there is only on in water.

Hasn't these power plants across the United States spent Billions and Billions of dollars over the last ten years or more for these scrubbers to go in that cleans the coal before it is burned to help cut back on Acid Rain and global warming ? I heard this was somewhat of a money maker for the US government when they made this mandatory(law) that any power plant that burns the high sulfur coal(or is it low sulfur coal?) must have this scrubbers installed in order for these plants to operate now. I wonder if this has helped cut back on the acid rain and global warming a bit?,,,, If I was to guess Id say probably not. My farther is a retired Environmentalist from America Electric power and he says that Global warming hasnt been any worse today then it was 200 years ago. So if this is true what is all the ruckuss about?

Yes, 1000 years ago the Vikings settled in Greenland. Back then, it was relatively warm, green, and fertile. Then by 1400 or 1500, they were gone, because the earth had cooled. And so it goes, the earth warms and cools (over centuries) all on it's own.
What about carbon dioxide? CO2 levels go up and down in response to the temperature, taking hundreds of years to respond in each case. This is an important point, CO2 levels go up in response to the earth's rising temperature, not the other way around! The next cooling will swamp out man's tiny contribution to CO2 and bring levels way down... and good luck growing giant pumpkins when that happens!

Captain Cold Weather, you do know that dihydrogen monoxide is water right? di=two hydrogen mono=one oxide=oxygen. This means two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom, otherwise known as H2o. But hey, it is a major part of acid rain. lol
