i am starting today, it may be a little early for most, but if some seeds fail you have an extra week to try again

Eric. I started today finally. You can build a few cheap hoophouses out of PVC and 4 mill plastic to cover the plants and get them out in a week or two. Make sure they care covered through Memorial Day to reduce the chances of frost. I have lost plants open to the air due to frost. Usually the heat generated by the enclosure is enough but watch the weather. If you have to, plug in a 40-60 watt bulb for the night inside the enclosure.
