UGH!!!!!! I saw the forecast this morning. The cold can stay away, but I'll take the foot of snow. It's so dry, my soil just blows away like dust. Anything that falls from the sky is welcome around here, even if it does set the season back a bit.
PS, Eddy, my hoophouse at home is up and your 522's will be in the ground in a week, even with the cold crappy weather.

Gorgeous, sunny and 70's here. A few weeks ago I was complaining about the 2 feet of snow covering my patch.
Now the winter rye is growing crazy....

We had our first 70 degree day on Wednesday, now we are cloudy and rainy. No lack of moisture here. I still haven't been able to get into the garden to do anything yet.

We're getting beautiful weather finally! First 80 degree day tomorrow, comin up. Today was pretty close high of around 75.
Due to get some rain here in the next few days and a bit of cooling into the 60's but still nice! I hope the threat of snow is gone.

Was around 85 today. But it is going to be about 35 at 6AM. Then a high of maybe 70 Sat. Crazy weather this year. Very little rain, in fact it hasn,t rained here since about the middle of Feb. Still our snow pact in the mountains is about normal for now.

Eddy, some of that cold northern weather shifted and blasted us here on the West Coast with snow last night....snow in mid April in Vancouver you ask....yup!!

Most parts of BC and Washington State got nailed by a storm last night that dropped anywhere from just a dusting to almost 1' of snow.

Patch is covered with snow and I've started my seeds...this will be a first for me!!

Woke up to about 1 1/2 inches of snow this morning...GRRRRR!!! Our hi is supposed to be in the low 40's today and tomorrow. This is very unheard of here in the Willamette Valley! Normal should be in the low 60's, instead I'm sweeping off snow from the greenhouses. Good thing for soil heaters!

I simply don't have the heart to say what the weather has been like here in central Ohio, what with many of you still battling snow. Let's just say I started two seeds yesterday.

It's minus 12 right now, and we received a foot of snow at least, but better now than in May, LOL. I'd like to here what Don Crews is up against, as I heard their supposed to get 16-18 inches of snow up there.

its been mid 70s all week mid 80s last weekend, we are in a bit of a cold snap now only about 60 this weekend.

The daffodils are long done, tulips done for about 2 weeks now.

Snowing here in Edmonton right now. Windchill feels like -20. The ground is still frozen... makes it tough to get the season going.

Just checked my soil temperature....46 degrees.....not good! It's 44 outside now at the supposedly warmest part of the day....and we just had a blast of hail! This is not looking good at all!

I feel bad for all the folks out west. Spring has sprung big time here. Soil is dry, warm days and the nighttime temps haven't dipped below zero for the last five days. T-shirt weather yesterday and today. Temperature inside the hoop house today was over 90 degrees. Hope it lasts.

Set a record here for late season snow today. temp. is a toasty 44 degrees, patch is cold and wet, will put off starting seeds a couple more days hoping the weather gets better. Don't see any point in planting into cold ground and stopping their momentum.

I guess I'll see if my crappy greenhouse will support 7000 Lbs of snow! Never give up !!

One thing I am not hearing much about this Spring is the climatologist's vaunting their "Global Warming" theorys.
I read where this cool Winter has reversed the last ten years of "warming". I still remain unconvinced that mankind's activities are the primary cause of increased temperatures.

Never the less....I sure could use some heat right about now!!!

That's on top of the 25cm of snow that we have received already. Although it is hard to tell because it has been blowing around so much. They actually closed the Hwy between here and Battleford and if you know anything about northern AB and SK they do not close hwys cause of a foot of snow. Apparently theres is a couple of feet on the hwy. I broomed off my greenhouse. Not sure why I decided to put the top on last weekend...oh that's right it was +20. We still had snow left from the above average snow fall we had this winter. coldframes are being buried right now. Still warm inside them though.

Never give up!!

We're up to about 8 inches, but it's been blowing around so much, it's hard to tell. The backside of the hoophouse almost gave in from the snow overnight. We're expecting another 5 or 6 tonight.
I'm just happy for the moisture. They don't turn the water on from the irrigation canals until mid-May and things at the farm were getting pretty desparate.
On the upside, Tuesday's high is 5 and sunny and I don't have to mow the lawn!
