When ever you can? Some go by "Moon phase," which can be seen at the Farmers Almanac.

Most growers like to start seeds indoors last week of April and get them in the ground as soon as they can. It just really depends on the climate in your area.

marvin, some?...prbly not lots of folks did start seeds at least a couple of weeks ago!!! Several reasons for that early seed starting...living further south (a lot further), and wanting a pkn at max weigh for a mid Aug weighoff (IN St. Fair) is just one example!!! With the proper preparation, (Greenhouses w/ heat, and the desire to meet the nuts in Indiana), you too, could do this)!!!
