I was wondering, what size pots do you start your pumpkins in.
I used to use 4in peat pots, but not use bigger size. So what size do you use before you put them into the ground?

3 gallons buckets here. You never know what to expect from spring weather in Finland, may need to keep plants longer than ideally in pots.Thats why big buckets here.

I use 1 quart styrofoam deli containers and like PumpkinLisa, the lid is the bottom and the bottom is cut out as the top. As soon as the first true leaf shows, I transplant to the patch and enclose the plant in a mini hot-house. I think this type of container minimizes root disturbance during transplanting.
Here is a photo of the conatiner that I use..... http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=46659
