How many days does a leaf produce beneficial energy. Example: At 20 days 100 % efficient....35 days...50% efficient. I'd be curious to know if anyone has every looked into this. Mark

Great idea for a thread. I fear it is us who age leaves prematurely more than anything else when we are too heavy handed with our love potions.
One year I was able to still see the cots on a plant at harvest. They weren't very soft but they were still there.

its a great question and all the more reason wht a larger plant and one thats not overly sprayed during the season (as steve already mentioned) has the ability to produce for a longer period of time. by september we have usually cut out the first couple sets of sides because the leaves are the oldest and dry. i would guess the production of leaves is directly related to leaf condition. thats a no brainer. in other words if a leaf is half way gone its 50 percent effective. etc.? last year on rons 1502 plant that grew the 1470 the leaves were so big they spent most of the season either on the ground or laying a few inches above it, we were concerned all season but in the end it really had no effect on the final outcome. the leaves were kept healthy and productive. good post pap
