There I was at work last week ( 4-5) about 2 weeks from getting ready to start my seeds & I took a fall off the eqp. I was running. And "POP" my quads tore from both my knee caps. Sunday they drilled holes in my knee caps & re-attched the quads,I have braces on both legs that go from my ankle to my groin & are locked so I can't bend them. Bad part is that my computer is on the 2nd floor of my house & I can't climb steps. After 6 days of waiting I got on the floor & scotted backwards up the steps to get on-line. The surgeon told me he was planning on unlocking the braces next Thursday so I can at least bend my legs. They are telling me 12-16 weeks for full recovery, I'm still growing in my new patch this year I'll just have to adapt as I go. But living where I do & being a member of the Circleville growers I'm sure I'll have plenty of help if I need it. A bad start should equal a great finish..right? .Paul

Wow, that is awefull Paul. I hope your recovery goes well. Hopefully by the time the season picks up you will be moving around well enough to work the patch. Maybe patch work this summer will prove to be good therapy.
Good luck, Kevin

Paul,
Doc gave me the news yesterday and whatever you need to get done, give us all a holler.
I know that, had it happened to me, the first thought would have been "how in hell am I going to grow this year"?
We're all ready to pitch in.

Thanks for the good thoughts, until next Thursday I'm climbing the steps once a day to get on-line. It's been awhile since I lifted weights but all this moving around just using my arms is building my shoulders back up, so there is one positive..LOL !! Joe, while I was in the ER everyone could tell I was real ticked off & they kept telling me I would be fine & everything could be repaired. I told them I knew I would be fine, I can rebound from anything but it's real close to planting season & that's why I was so mad.
