I have a question about blood meal. The co-op I get my bulk supplies from is having trouble getting the garden blood meal. She told me they can get the feed grade blood meal. My question would be will feed grade boold meal work the same as garden blood meal?
Thanks, Mikkal

The feed grade blood meal would be less refined then garden grade. More like a feed and less like a fertilizer. It does the same function but it will take more to do the job. Just ask for percentage print out to see how much the two differ. Hope the info helps

I think the big issue would be feeding animals garden grade. Feed grade is just cleaner. Blood is blood and contains nitrogen. It will also keep the critters away. If in doubt, Espoma sells it but in smaller quantities. The coop is probably a bit less expensive.

See if you can obtain feather meal......Supposed to be a slower longer term release for nitrogen.
