Tomorrow I am finially gonna buy some mycor fungi..Im not sure how much to buy or which brand to buy..many choices..I do know that I want the endo. I was going to buy Plant Success Soluble but I read it was ecto (sp) not endo..so now Im not sure...can one of you fine fellers help me out? I read on Hollands that some use over 3 lbs per plant. I plan on three plants...plus I want to use it on the rest of my plants. Thanks Croley

Croley,
Bio-Endo is good only if you intend to bury your secondary vines. Very little is needed if you intend to apply only at transplanting. That being said, the amount you need will depend on the square footage of your plant.
3 pounds per plant is about right if you have a 750 square foot plant with all secondaries before the fruit intact and each secondary at 12-15 feet long.
If you bury, apply it to the trench before burying the vine. The Mycor need to contact the roots (colonize them) which will appear at each leaf node.
Personally, I purchased my Bio Grow Endo Plus from Joel Holland. It was available in two and three-pound bags. There are, however, other sources here on BP.com.
Oh, the amount to apply to the trench varies with each grower. I've heard of some using 1/2 to 1 teaspoonful per leaf node. Personally, I don't think that much is required. I sprinkle it sparingly along the entire length of the trench.

I was in the pumpkin chat the other day and asked Dan McKie how much he used. I was suprised when he said they use only about 1/2 pound per plant. Now if you go to this web site, you can get all your answers. There one of the world largest grower, suppliers of Mycorrhiza. They say that ten(10) pounds will do an acre. I wrote and told them about Atlantic Giant pumpkins grows use 3-4 pounds per plant. They wrote back and they said most of it is wasted and you don't need to apply that much. http://www.mycorrhizae.com/index.php?cid=60

When I ordered mine I was told 1 lb would be enough for 3 plants, as thats all I am planting this year. I inquired before I purchased as I wanted to make sure I had enough. And now I hear guys using 3lbs per plant, LOL. But I think it is most likely a waste as the stuff grows and speads out anyway.

Just wanted to second what PumpkinBrat wrote. Those guys are some of the foremost experts on mycorrhizae, and recommended by Dr. Ingham. Another one to check out would be Paul Stamets at www.fungi.com

Thanks everyone for your reply. I would say the amount you would use would be according to the product, being granular or soluble..I would agree with PumpkinBrat, that using 3-4 lbs per plant would be wasted since the fungi do reproduce and the plant only roots in so many places, that putting it all along the stem when buring would be wasted, but if you got it, might as well use it. I learned long ago, more is not better..I appreciate everyones input and will making my purchase today. Thanks again..Croley
