Last year I had a seed sprout three roots instead of the one that usually emerges when the seed sprouts. I was pretty excited about this because it seemed to me that this might be a vigorous seedling. Unfortuneately, I put the pot out in the greenhouse and a mouse dug up and ate my seed, so I never got to grow the plant. Has anyone noticed a difference in how vigorous the plant is when it starts out with multiple roots? thanks Kathy

Kathy, don't take this for more than it is...but I have read several times in the past that multiple (club) roots = flat vines!!! The only multi root seed I ever had choked the plant b/4 it ever got up, and the only flatvine plant I ever had, did not have a club root!!! Hopefully the folks who have germinated lots of seeds, and grown lots of plants will chime in!!! Peace, Wayne

So multiple roots is a club root? I thought that a club root was a large deformed root. I think that I read that the 1068 Wallace was from a club root. But if I correct don't plants with clubs typically get discarded? thanks Kathy
