Subject:  how 2 view a thread

was just wondering how i can look at a thread on a neither page someone else wrote. example someone wrote view thread 00000 how do i do this thanks duane

hold down your left mouse button, pass it over the the link that you want to view making sure you just highlight the link. then push your right mouse button and select copy.go up to the ie address window click in it so it is highlighted, right click and select past. this should copy the link into the brouser window. hit enter and it should take you to the thread. i hope this makes sence to you. maybe someone can explain it better than me but i tried. lol.

Duane, I remember it used to be that you could just put a diffrent number on the end of the thread, like change the number 244338 to 243000 and it would take you further back to the older threads, but I think they changed this now because of so much memeory the site had to hold, I think they had to deleate a good amount of the threads because of this.( I could be wrong though).

You can just change the number most of the time. For example this thread is:

http://www.bigpumpkins.com/msgboard/ViewThread.asp?b=3&p=244338


Just double click on the address bar, the cursor should be at the end of the line, backspace and change the 8 to a 7, hit enter, and see what happens. You can do the same thing for the whole number, if you know the number you want to go to just type it in after the second equal sign.
