every time i have tried to grow tomato's the cup is never as full of roots as a tomato that you would buy from a store. and my tomato vines never seems to do as well. what do you think the problem is.

I found that watering with a weak fish and seaweed solution is helpful for healthy tomato seedlings. I don't know if you do this, but I plant multiple tomato seeds in small cups, then when the true leaves are about the size a a BB(as in what you shoot out of a BB gun), I put each individual plant in a seperate cup. I bury the stem up to the cotyledons, and roots will grow out of the buried stem.

you may need more molasses in the hole or sprayed on the leaves
