Commercial spray is $16 or more a pint, to make it bulk:
Glass half gallon container, 4 cups dried Thyme, 1 cup dried mint (like spearmint). If using fresh, use double and bruise and maim it well..else crumble a little. Cram into container, fill with 8 cups water, make sure it's covered, and let sit for 24 hours to brew. Strain into another container, and add 8 more cups water. Put into a quart nozzle sprayer and add 1 tsp liquid soap (like Dawn) per quart.
Spray onto plant in early morning or late of day, after direct sun. Get everything wet. Wait 10 min, and use a hose to gently rinse.
This is pond safe, and fish safe. It'll get better than 90% first pass. If I buy bulk herb (thyme takes so much, it's cheaper to buy than try to grow) I make this for $2-3 a quart!
Will keep once strained for about a week, refrigerate, add soap right before spraying. Don't steep more than 24, uggies like to form then (mold..) Oh and warn the family about keeping out of 'the weird tea' .. it is not that tasty. Won't hurt them but.
