my wife works in retail i get them from the shoe departments most of the time they are just thrown away the little packets can be found in shoes or you can ask someone to save you some when they are stocking. i put a couple of these packages in canning jars to keep them dry. fyi

You can also get them at sporting goods stores in the gun section. Many gun owners use them to keep gun case free of moisture. There is a nice one that turns color when it has absorbed maximum moisture. At that time, it can be put in the oven (dehydrated) and then reused. Pretty slick.
