A while back Pap made a post on what to do to reach your first 500, second 500, and third 500 pounds. I did some searching and couldn't find it. I thought someone may have saved the link. If someone has the link or saved the information from this post could you send it to me? I'd like to give this advise out with some seeds I'll be giving to new growers. Thanks in advance. Jesse

the post was regarding where your fruits growth needed to be to reasonably expect a large pumpkin at completion op season. it was based on my growing experience here on the east coast
example would be
pollinate as early as possible in july or very late june ----- need a fruit taping 450 to 550 by august ist. ( this is why early good plant growth and plant training are so important )spray for cuke beetles and borers-test soil by mid july
must put on 700 to 750 lbs in august and be at 1,200 est by september 1st. (good weather coupled with a nutrient program and insect/ disease control is a must (add to soil asap based on return of mid july soil nutrient test )
need to put on 275 to 300 lbs in september (again weather is a huge factor combined with soil balance and feeding to get maximum from the plant) keep powderyt mildew and disease in check- balance soil again as needed
