our trip TO niagara went fairly smoothly since we traveled on thursday. the only "hitch" we had was the very grumpy powerhungry border agent. who has a really good story on getting to the meeting?

hey you

Greencastle, PA

please disregard my last post, i thought i was typing into an instant messege.

I had to leave at 9 am on friday after a midterm. i missed my bus and left new york 2 hours late. then there were a lot of weather related delays in the greyhound system. i didn't get to the hotel until 5:30 in the morning. i finished some homework, took a shower, got dressed, and came down to the seminar. consider that i can't sleep much on buses.

Just east of Toledo, the roads were horrible. Over fifty cars and two semis off the road. I drove over 300 miles in near blizzard conditions. I reached the anchor bar in Buffalo and things suddenly got better fast after the wings and a few tall ones. The rest of the weekend was priceless and one I will never forget

The trip from KY. was an experience...left Somerset Thurs. pm and stopped overnight b/tween Columbus and Cleveland...approx 4 hrs left to go...HAHAHAHA!!!! Fri's 8.5 hr. drive (35 to 40 mph) was a true white knuckler...and I was sittin in the back of the car!!! Worth every minute of it!!! What a memorable experience!!!!!!!! Peace, Wayne

I only had a couple of hours commute, but it was pretty nasty from Buffalo to the hotel Saturday morning. We did set off the alarm at the first window of customs only because we didn't see anyone in the booth and thought it was empty. The other guy in the next booth was laughing, it certainly woke them up. LOL! Aside from that, driving in Canada Saturday morning was entirely white out conditions and white knuckle driving. Thankful our cousin brought the four wheel drive Silverado. Nice ride. We barely made it by 8:00 am for the Seminar and thankfully didn't miss the Orange and Green jacket presentations.

Aside from that, once getting settled in the weekend was great! Loads of stuff to learn and it was well worth the journey. Great weekend.

I'd have to say Steve and Cherrie Handy had the most difficulty. They got stuck in Washington DC and could not get a flight to Buffalo so they went back home to Vancouver,Washington!
