Not directly pumpkin related, but many growers might have gotten their computers infected through mine.....

OK, don't know which one my home computer ended up with - but it's pretty much scrambled all of it's software... won't connect to internet, won't recognize flashdrive/disc drive... etc...etc... So for those of you that I've been in email contact with recently - please update all of your antivirus software immediately!

Until I get the home computer cleaned off to nothing - then re-install all the programs - I'll only be able to post from my laptop on the campus wireless net... I've also decided that this is a good time to get a clean break from my old server.. so I'll be using my yahoo email from now on....

sigh... guess I've been lucky - 12 years playing on the net and just now got my first bug!!

i'm just glad that my newer computer came with the
recovery disc function, only takes a little while to
restore it to the original factory condition. but yes, i know, all those programs to re-install can be a pain.
maybe do a system re-do, install everything you can until it is how you like it once again, before you ever connect
to the internet, and try to create a system backup at that point so that it will contain the programs already that
you would otherwise have to lengthily install.
i am no expert, and you probably already do this--EG

if you have windows XP you could try setting it back to a previous restore point.

Its worth the cost of Security software...I update daily for security..wish you well. do you have any idea what bug got you?? You can do a free virus scan thru McAfee...check it out or there are many other free anti virus out there..but remember nothing is free...Croley
