I finally found a 1068 Wallace thanks to a legend of pumpkin growing Jim Kuhn! Words cant thank him enough of his generosity of giving me one of the best seeds in the world and wanting absolutely nothing in return. I also gotta thank Eddy Z and Dave Stelts (joke-sters) for the help, if it wasn't for them embarrassing the crap out of me in front of about 230 people for 2 days straight at the convention I know I wouldn't have this seed.,,,lol!! They did a good job at it I can tell you that much, and I gotta say it was well worth the embarrassment to get a 1068 Wallace from a legend of pumpkin growing Jim Kuhn. Thanks guys, you made the convention a blast for me.
LOOK OUT 1068 WALLACE HERE I COME!!!! YEEE HAWWW!!

I met Jim Kuhn this past weekend at Niagara, he came up and introduced himself to me and encouraged me to contact him if I had any questions about growing. It is great when the top notched seasoned growers take it upon themseves to approach newer growers and volunteer to offer unsolicated help and advice. Thank you Jim!

Brooks, congratulations on your newest acquisition!! It's going to be kind of boring on BP now. Who will everyone tease and give a hard time to now?? By the way..I just happen to have a bubble with your address on it post-marked with December of 08..don't let me down!!! I have a feeling there will be quite a few people that will be following your growing season. (No Pressure Buddy)lol!!!

Talk to Ron and PAP about germinating. It needs a constant temp different than the others. If you want you can just send me the seed and I will grow it instead.

Hmmm....its like one of the last of the best seeds ever, why not take a vote and have him pollinate it with the best possible seed possible, and split the seeds. Yahhhhhhh

Brigitte!! was that you that gave Quinn that seed package?,,,,lol!!!!! I laughed my a&& off at Quinn as well, people might think hes a quite guy but really hes just as funny as Dave Stelts and the rest of them,he came up with some good one-liners, Ha!
Rob, I been growing that 1068 ever since the 1068 was born LOL,that was one of my first seeds I planted when I first started growing, Pap& Ron had sent me a 1068 Wallace every year, and one year they sent me two when one wouldn't germinate because of a error on my part. Besides that I have never had a problem getting one to germinate,,,,(knock on wood,,lol). When Ron& Pap told me last year this is the last seed I was gonna get,, well I definitely believed them and knew they was just down to crumbs on that seed. Next year I decided no more hunting for the 1068 seed, Im retired now, its just to much worry and pressure trying to find one since now there is a limited few, I need to relax next year and just grow what I got,lol!!..... oh, wait,Pap did give me a " I owe you a 1068 Wallace SOMEDAY'' at the convention, and I think Im just gonna hold onto it,,,,LMAO!
All you guys/ladies made that convention fun for me and my Dad really got a kick out of it aswell, I really want to thank you for that and plan on never missing another.

Brooks It really was fun pulling your chain, lol. Jim did tell me that he was giving you a 1068, so we put the pranks into high gear. But I think there was a pretty neat seed in a bubble you received, and had been looking for, for quite some time. LOL Thanks a lot Brooks for taking the slammy's so well. By being such a good sport, you helped make everyboby laugh. Eddy
