Well another Niagara Convention has come to a close...and what a year we have had.
Pam, Sally, Brad, Erin and I would like to thank all of you for making this one of the best conventions we have ever had. There is no better group out there then Giant Pumpkin Growers!
Good luck to all during the 2008 growing season, and we will see you again next March!

Thanks Lisa, and everyone for putting together a great seminar weekend. I'm a bit overwhelmed, but it was a really great weekend, had a great time meeting fellow growers, and the training sessions were great. Only recommendation I would make is to put Dr. Linderman at an earlier time frame than right after lunch. It was very hard to concentrate on a very filling lunch. All very good by the way!
Thanks for a great weekend!

Well I had a great time too..........Lisa great, great, great, is all I can say. Thank heaven for Port Elgin and the Pumpkinfest staff.
Everything ran smoothly and as Dave wanted fairly seamlessly. There were so many helpers this year that things ran great for the record throng of growers during a record breaking snow fall too.
Dr. Linderman was very informative, I spent a couple of hours over the course of the weekend talking with him and was still left with a few thousand more questions for him.
If you want to growem big Niagara Falls was the place to learn.

In my opinion, this was the best year at Niagra (of the ones I have attended). It wasnt just the snow storm making it my favorite either LOL. (that was awesome).
Everyone's hard work is to thank. Everything was so organized and well thought out.
THANKS A MILLION :)

Thanks Pumpkinfest crew for putting on yet another great seminar. This one was the best I have attended yet.
I also spent a couple hours with Dr Linderman over the weekend and he was fantastic. Very informative and down to earth (excuse the pun). I hope he is able to come again.
This is the best way for anyone at any level to learn about this great hobby.
Great Time…Great friends

I gotta agree, great time! There was so many growers there that there was no way you could meet them all in 2 days, there was still alot of growers that I wanted to talk to but just never got the chance! But there is next year!
Thanks Lisa,Pam, Sally, Brad, and Erin!!

Yes I agree Brooks, there was not enough time in the weekend to get talk to all the growers and meet everyone. I had an awesome time and still digesting all of the good stuff I have learned. I am sure it will take me a few days to get thru all of it. Again, thanks to everyone who had a hand in putting together the seminar, and to Lisa, Pam, Sally, Brad and Erin, awesome job!!!!

Great job Pumpkinfest crew and GPC for putting on such a great event. I'm a little maxed out on pumpkin talk but should recover in a day or two. Met many awesome people/growers who generously gave up info and seeds and the info gained at the seminars was top notch stuff and will help me get a new Personal best this year I think. Thanks again, Kirk Chenier

I agree w/ all of the above, 22" of snow did not dampen the spirits of the Pknfest crew, or the GPC folks...these two groups worked together to put together an incredible wknd!!! Lot's of other's helped also, I think, Bill Bobier ran an awesome poker game or 3, all of the break out session leaders did an awesome job, I got a chance to meet Ken D.!!! kudo's to Ken!!! bp.com is gonna just get better and better!!! and my personal highlight of the wknd was the ICEMAN!!! Thanks, my friend!!! Peace, Wayne

It was a very nice conference this year. My favorite of the last 5 or 6 I've attended.
Dr. Linderman did a great job of humanizing soil biology which can be a rather dry subject to present! Lisa, Pam, Sally, Brad & Erin were awesome as always! Jim B is a great MC. Thanks to you all! We all survived the tight GPC schedule just fine! A little sleep deprived...but it was worth it.
Like Christy, we really enjoyed the snow. I brought my wife & son to the butterfly conservatory on Friday as the snow was starting. It was a surreal experience to be inside the warm glass house with flowers & butterflies while snow was pounding down all around!
That Brazilian Barbecue was delicious!
It's always a challenge to meet with everyone. There's just never enough time to spend time with everyone but it's always worth trying.
My wife came home with a much greater understanding of the fellowship of fine family of growers we really are. Thank you all!

Early on Fri. evening I was talking with a grower who I had dreamed of meeting, face to face. The conversation turned to the "family" of AG growers, and he asked me to look thru the room and tell him what I saw. I took, prbly a full minute to look around and observed what was going on, and then said..."I see people sharing with each other." This fine man said..."wouldn't it be great if we could share this with the world." I know that he didn't mean the secrets of growing AG's, but the simple idea of being able to communicate with each other on a broader basis!! If the mind set of pkn growers can reach out and touch others...the world could be a better place. This was one of 2 occasions at da Falls that I was brought near to tears!!! Great wknd. Peace, Wayne
