I usually spray merit on the patch before the seedlings are in the patch, my merit is delayed this year, does anyone know if it is ok to spray merit on the ground with small plants in the ground? Or do I have to wait and spray first? Thanks, Jim

go to lowes or home depot and get a few bags of Grubex and scatter it around. It contains merit or about the same, not quite as strong I don,t think.

Yo can safely go over the top of the seedlings with liquid or granular. Just make sure to water it in without puddling. Liquid will start working much quicker especially if you do hit the seedlings.

I have been applying mine just around the time I remove the hoop houses for the last couple years. This will give you a couple extra weeks of residual and good uptake in the vines. Works for me John

my @rub@x gets tilled into the soil at the same time as any other fertilizers and manure, etc., end of April; from that point on until i'd say the middle of August (arrgh, it has been almost half a year, lol, think i remember?) the only cuke beetles i see are dead ones. have never applied anything any later than that, I guess by that time the war is won by me already. eg
