"Dont be fooled by home grown seeds"? So I guess everyone should get rid of there top seeds and buy this guys instead. Ebay is becoming a scary place to buy things.

Second pic is used here in Finland for selling "grande gigante" pumpkin variety. Seed packets are from Germany I think. So Grande Gigante, anyone heard about it?

I emailed this person: I'm looking at your listing for atlantic giant seeds, you state "Howard Dill is the current world record holder of the Atlantic Giant Pumpkin of 1,469 Pounds" this is false, not even remotely true and " Don't be fooled with home grown seeds." I guess all of us that grow 1000 lb plus pkns should toss our seeds away? Does Howard know that you are using his image? Do you even grow? Alot of false advertisment here....

They replied...lol
Nope, I don't grow them. However, I buy these seeds from Johnny's Seed Company. They only use Dill's stock and advertise them as the record holder. Not sure if Howard knows if I'm using his picture or not but I bet he would be proud. You can toss out your seeds if you want to, that's none of my business, just like my auctions are none of your business. Have a nice pumpkin day

Johnnys does advertise "The current world record is an Atlantic Giant of 1,469lb." This info is out dated but nothing like the conveluted mess on the above E- bay site.

I contacted the one buyer that he had to let them know about this site and where to get "home grown" pumpkin seeds for free! I also sent the seller an e-mail. It will be interesting to see the response.

eBay used to delete auctions when Howard's patent was active. The name "Dill" is still copyright protected so this auction still might get axed.
Congrats to Howard on the 1469???

Danny and Diana,
There are many people on Ebay using your name in addition to this seller. You should nail Ebay.

Yep, it's happening again. I remember a campaign a few years ago that Vince and I and others started to "flood Ebay with REAL seeds" to counter people out there selling bogus seeds. All the complaining we made to Ebay didn't do any good... they couldn't (or wouldn't) do anything about it.
Anyone who is stealing photos, particularly from seed catalogs and the Dill family obviously shouldn't be truster farther than I can throw them.
