nothing and i mean nothing was as heart warming for me as seeing all those young elementary school boys and girls receive their winter coats and hats last november.

if you could see the excitment and appreciation on their faces ? it would truely be worth a thousand words.

why dont some of you folks start your own orange angel foundation ? use it to help in your area of the world?
giving will never feel so good.

it is easy enough to do and the funding you will generate can go right back to needy children in your area.
all you do is call around the local schools and you will find plenty in need.

it only takes one person and a roll of raffle tickets to hold a few 50/50 raffles through out the pumpkin season get togethers ie: spring meet and greet, summer picnic, fall weigh-off, etc, and you will be surprised how much funds you can generate to help children in need.

you are welcome to use a copy of my orange angel logo or design your own. the bottom line is this.

no matter how bad things get we cannot forget to help those who through no fault of there own are in greater need than us.

Well said pap the little ones are the ones that always tear your heart out to see them cold and hungry by no fault

Pap, you are without a doubt bang on, on your comments, there is no better feeling out there.
We don't do a kids for coats drive here, because there are a few already, but what we do, is help out our Childrens hospital.
On a personal note, Jennifer, my daughter and myself, host an sfternoon at our patch for 2 grade 1 classes every sept. This year the 35 grade one students heard we were doing a fundraiser for the childrens hospital, so they all did a fundraised of their own to help, and they presented me with $200.00 to add to our total.
If nothing else, I would grow these giants for that one afternoon, because those smiles are worth more than any first place could ever give us.
At the end of our fundraising, we donated $10,000.00 to the childrens hospital. and it all came from people that wanted to help. A great fuzzy feeling. And we'll talk at Niagara because I'd like to set up our own Orange Angel Charted out here.

I MIGHT HAVE GUESSED YOU GUYS WOULD BE FIRST IN LINE. WHY IS IT ALWAYS THE SAME HANDS THAT GO UP WHEN SITUATIONS LIKE THIS ARE DISCUSSED?

You're a good man Dick. Email the goods here when you have a minute. I cannot use the Scouts to fund-raise for any other organization...but I can borrow some of the boys to act on their own. What better way to help create new leaders than to set them up & cut them loose on a project such as this?
