my season of discontent
a poem by abbypappy

feburary
valentines day came and went
no money left it had all been spent
she seemed understanding that i blew all our cash
so how come those auction seeds ended up in the trash ?

march
no preseasons complete without a trip to the falls
eddy z will be there guiding through hallowed halls
brooks is ready and he wont be late
hell ,hes still looking for that 1068

april
test germinations complete, patch is ready
gotta remember to go slow and steady

may
plants all in nice and cozy and warm
it wont be long before the cuke beetles swarm
my backpack is full my finger is steady
the arsenal in my war chest is at the ready

june
plant sgrowing like crazy cant afford to linger
i ask her for help she just gives me the finger

july
pollination time is near and im all excited
the way my wife acting i should be indited
i run around mornings from plant to plant
all she does is rant and rant

august
pumpkins look great my marriage is a shamble
ah what the hell they were both a big gamble

september
my wifes having an affair with the guy down the street
guess they met at the spring meet and greet
dont consider this to be a big factor
i just hope he keeps letting me borrow his tractor

october
the seasons fast drawing into a close
now we must live with what we have chose
big or small-long or tall
growing these freaks has sure been a ball

november
my wife came back and all is forgiven
i promised her next year i wont be so driven
sometimes i wonder once shes out of sight
should i go to that first seed auction? its tomorrow night

LOL! Love it Pap. Worth hanging on the wall at work! They will get a good chuckle out of this and I'm sure I will be called crazy yet again. But then, there is Brooks still looking for that 1068! LOL!

hey, ya gotta have fun with it. i know no matter how bad things seem to be at times (and we all have them -young or old) being out in the patch or acting screwy on bp or helping a friend is what the hobby for me is all about.
