Does anyone know who oversees this sale? I tried sending several e-mail inquiries to the addy / persons in the "contact us " of the site immediately after the sale was posted (due to the time I knew a traditional mailing for seeds would take, in hopes of avoiding a "sold out" of prefered seeds) and never heard anything back. Now some seeds are already sold out. I realize they have fantastic crosses but how does one from outside the state of Ohio or the US for that matter have a hope of getting some of those terrifc crosses? Thanks John

I don't think you have to reside in Ohio to join the club.

John,
I don't know who is running the seed sale at the club. From checking the site, it looks like a couple sold out pretty fast.
However, one way to get the seeds you want is to send your order "OVERNIGHT". When Howard Dill's put their seeds up for sale in December, I sent my order by international overnight. Now I have the seeds I requested before they sold out. Hopefully, there are still some OVGPG seeds that are of interest to you.
Good luck.
Chuck

John very much agree with Chuck, If you want it bad bad enough, there is always a way, UPS overnight works really well. Eddy

thanks for the suggestions folks,I will have to monitor upcoming sales more regularly and be on red alert. I guess I just didn't realize how competitive seed acquisition for first year seeds has become. All the best in '08...John

I'm a member, just got the newsletter today and I see they are already sold out of Brooks' 1402. Overnight shipping wouldn't have done me any good, I couldn't have driven the money there fast enough.

Ill tell ya Dwain, Im really surprised about that 1402 seed and how fast it went, I sent over 160 seeds to the Dill site and they sold out in about 27 days, then the Ovgpg club sold out as well. Im still getting a few request yet for this seed and hate to turn down any grower that wants one, and Im sorry if your that grower out there, cause I honest to goodness cross my heart have none of these seeds left to give out. There is a bunch out there floating around in pumpkin land that's for sure. I just hope this seed doesn't disappoint and that it grows like everyone is hoping it is going to grow, including myself!,lol

John, I think the OVGPG has been having some problem with there web site. I emailed them to inquire about a seed I heard was in the seed sale but wasn't on the list on the web site. I received a answer to my question a day.
Have you tried tracking down the grower of the seed your interested in and asking. I sent 6 emails requesting seeds this fall got 6 responses and seeds from 5 growers. The 6th grower couldn't fill my request because of a low seed count on the seed I was interested in. Which is understandable.
If your not looking for a 1068, or 1041 post on the seed board what your looking for. One of these growers just might suprise you. Good luck, Kenny
