my soil fertility recommendation cals for 0.8 lime tons/acre does anyone know how many pounds for a 1600sq/ft area

Doug if my math is right you need about 60 lbs of lime. That's based on an acre-43560 sq. feet.

.8 tons = 1600 lbs per 43,560 sf so 37 lbs per 1000 or 60 lbs like Andy said.

60 lbs of lime per 1000 should raise your pH a little over one point.
