I'm wondering which one of these seeds you folks think would produce the largest squash. Any ideas? I've never grown one before nor have I researched squash seeds so I have no clue. Thanks! Michel

Well, sort of a toss up at this point on those two seeds. 980 is a newer seed, produced a fruit measuring 1050, but only weighed 941.5, currently the largest green for 2004, in a year that saw more squash grown than ever before. The 552 has grown a monster 962 pounder, and also an unofficial fruit measuring over 1000, but with a hole in it, and no word that I know of as to an actual weight on that unofficial squash. Synopsis, both should be good seeds, I don't think you will go wrong either way.

Thanks Nic! I'm leaning toward the 552 since I have two of them and have no hopes for a thousand pounder but I'd be thrilled here in Germany with 500lbs. or so and green.
Thanks for taking the time to reply to my question! Michel
