522 Sherwood squash is no more in the Petersen carlson patch. This one really hurt. I can only assume it was a very tiny hairline split inside the stem area. As there was absolutely no indication that this fruit was in trouble. The leak appeared last night and th edecay was abvanced. I assume it happened abut 2 weeks ago. She was taping to 375" and I know she was going to weigh much more then the tape was indicating...She was 112" OTT side to side. A big wheel....and ribby...BUT we'll never know now what coul dhave been. Still shocked at last night events BUT it is a heartless hobby and we all go thru it from time to time Bumming in Iowa DAN AND MARK
