It's official. The WR has fallen. Of course there are many weigh-offs to go, but this is the first time a WR has been grown outside of North America.
Let me introduce the 1234 Wursten 07*
(1055.5 Pitura 06* x self)
It taped 1193. Underneath it was like a dome. It was home to a whole clan of field mice. There was no damage to the bottom of the fruit fortunately.
Pictures and info to follow in my diary.
The 1234* was temporarily also the new European record. A few minutes later it got beat by the 1256 Wursten 07 grown off of the 1093 Hunt that taped 1130.

Great Job Brad. Congrats on being the new WR holder. All your hard work paid off. I'll send you out another 1093 seed later. It's good to see another GVGO Member holding the Squash Crown. Hopefully the record will hold up for the remainder of the season. We're cheering for you. Take care & enjoy your new-found fame.

I'm glad for Brad & Europe! I'm also excited about what this means for Growing Green in general. This should put the heat on North America to bring the green jacket home in 2008! LOL
Great job Brad!

Again, once more congratulations, Brad! I was there an wittnessed this unique day, a Wold and European Champion at the same day. It was an extraordinary day and it was really a great hounour to be there.
My Dutch Squash Champion of last year has been broken with an improvement of 248 kg, that is in pounds..., I don't dare to say... lol
Thanks again, Brad, for your hospitality also to your wife, all the best to you and your family. You have accompished such a great thing in the pumpkinworld, you never can do again! :-)
Your colleage AG grower from northern Netherlands, Theo Kiewiet.
