Watch out for the Wiz. He has so much big stuff in the making that the mile high city may be tilted into a situation below sea level. Homeland Security should be notified immediately. :)

Orange, White, Pink, blue ,green and anything very heavy will work for colorado. The record has been standing 7 years too long and needs to be busted this growing season. Do not care who does it, but we need to accomplish this mission as colorado growers....Grow big this season !!!!

I agree with 400SF, I feel that some see colorado as a one hit wonder, since we were one of the first 12 states or provinces to hit 1,000. I will give it 100% just hope mother natutre coroperates.
We also need to get our averages up too. being last at tthe average weight per site sucks. But to do that we must have more growers. My goal this yr is to have a pumpkin big enough to go to a weigh off. My 453 wasn't good enough last yr.

Back to this squash record. Is there an "official record" or is it just history? I am going for it this year, so I would like to get this cleared up. Also do I have to bring it to the weigh-off at Jared's or can I take it to a certified scale at our coo-op and have pictures and a third-party there?
